   7 It is no longer advised to try and make SquirrelMail live in peace with
   8 RussianApache. Too many problems arise trying to make charset recoding
   9 co-exist with SquirrelMail. SM is completely capable of providing necessary
  10 charset headers, so most modern browsers will not have any problems
  11 interacting with SquirrelMail in the necessary Charset.

  13 To turn off Charset Recoding of Russian Apache, use the following
  14 directive:

  18 You may put this directive into VirtualHost, Directory, Location, or
  19 a .htaccess file in the SquirrelMail's main directory (unless you
  20 turned off .htaccess files).

  22 This is the best solution so far -- others involve so many steps that
  23 they are no longer viable.
