3446 the parent. However, if the lookup was caching a connection to a database,
3447 the connection was closed, and the second delivery process was likely to
3448 see errors such as "PGSQL: query failed: server closed the connection
3449 unexpectedly". The problem has been fixed by closing all cached lookups
3450 in a queue runner before running a delivery process.

3818 0, 1, and 2 exist, because some OS complain for execs without them (see
3819 ChangeLog 4.05/30). If necessary, Exim opens /dev/null to use for these
3820 descriptors. However, the code omitted to check that the open succeeded,
3821 causing mysterious errors if for some reason the permissions on /dev/null
3822 got screwed. Now Exim writes a message to the main and panic logs, and
3823 bombs out if it can't open /dev/null.
